“—she’s dead, I didn’t even know her that well and she’s dead and in my dream I’m so, I’m scared that there’s nothing I can do.” She opens her eyes. “But there really is nothing I can do. She’s already gone, and we left her there.” She stares hard at her hands. “We weren’t really even friends.”

really compelling redemption fic! the med school and research aspects are really engaging
i dont even read harry potter stuff i came across this by chance
ship tag barely applies until 75% of the way through but honestly the friendships and background plot is the best part, and as someone who doesnt really have an opinion on hp ships, I didnt pick it based on the ship anyway.
10/10 recommend -
