The lights snapped on.
Isagi flinched, squinting at the sudden brightness.
Footsteps echoed.
Then Ego stepped into view, bowl-cut immaculate, eyes unreadable behind those thick framed, soulless glasses.
“This better be good,”
Ego said.
“Training starts in three hours. I don’t waste time on slackers.”
Isagi stepped forward, fists clenched.
“I have a problem. And you’re going to fix it.”
Not exactly how he imagined this conversation would go—but desperation made people brave.
Ego didn’t blink.
“That so?”
The bastard didn’t even seem surprised.

The heat in the closet peaks with his words, tipping Rin over the edge and taking Isagi down with him in one fell swoop. Fingers tangle themselves in the fabric of his shirt to tug him down from where he sat like a usurper dethroning a false king. Their lips meet in a bruising kiss, silencing them both for once.
