Summary
Yaotome was stubborn, an air-headed, short-tempered guy who let his feelings out in his sleeves. He was also a horrible liar, and Yamato could tell the instant the guy felt any sort of emotion coloring his face right away. He was everything that Yamato was not.
And that was exactly what it was that had him trigger his heart strings.

“And what about you?”
That question made the white-haired turn his gaze, he looked straight into Yamato’s eyes, as if staring into his soul. He looked so much more prettier when he was vulnerable like this, with flushed skin and a look in his eyes that seemed so innocent that it could almost make his heart burst into confetti.
“I’m way happier than I ever thought I could be… I wanted to run away from life after that. My dad kinda made me feel like it was the end of the world. But I guess I just found something that was worth rooting myself down for.”

“Thanks. You don’t only dress the part, you know. You have Superman’s kindness.”
Little him chuckled, “So instead of sharing our names, how about we only refer to each other by the title of our costumes then?”

Summary
“I don’t think it was an accident that I didn’t tell you I’d left the country,” said Apollo. “I think I did it on purpose without even knowing.”
“Objection,” said Klavier, with a joking, affectionate lilt to his voice. “You can’t do something on purpose without knowing.”

Summary
Klavier is gone when Apollo gets back to their room, presumably getting ready for bed himself. Apollo leaves the light on for him and climbs into the lower bunk, facing the wall, tucking himself in with one of the threadbare, train-issued blankets. Except it’s not a threadbare, train-issued blanket.
Because it’s Klavier’s, and it smells like him, and it’s all warm and cozy, and Apollo is absolutely doing this to himself. But, well. Klavier had to put down this blanket for a reason. Knowing what they were going to do. So it’s fine. Really. It is.
Klavier shuts the door softly when he gets back into the room. A second later, he’s flicked off the lights. He bumps into maybe everything on his way to the bed. Apollo would laugh if his heart wasn’t pounding so furiously.
Klavier’s weight settles on the side of the bed. “Is this still okay?”
Apollo shifts himself closer to the cabin wall. Klavier climbs into bed beside him, back settling up against Apollo’s.
He’s warm. Apollo knew he would be.
Or: a 52-hour journey on a sleeper train, a small, shared room, and the ever-closing distance between them.
