“Soooooo, has Bon thought about Kage’s proposal?” Kage asked as he poured himself a cup, Shuichi following suit. Bon rolled his eyes, not that they could see the motion as he giggled behind his hand. Sometimes, Kage knew just how to cheer him up without actually knowing he was doing it.
“Don’t you know that before asking for Bon’s hand in marriage, you need to procure a marriage application from the star bearers?” Bon replied coyly, playing along with the childish charade. Bon stifled another bout of giggles when he caught Kokichi and Shuichi trying their hardest to not laugh.
“Ah, but you see, my dearest Bon,” Kage placed the cup back on its saucer on the table before turning and reaching forward to grasp his hand, gently caressing the back of it as he led it toward where his lips were. Bon gasped as the taller shadow master left a kiss on his hand, cheeks warming up and visible on his living doll’s expression as both Bon and Kokichi looked at the pair respectfully, “Kage doesn’t need some measly words on a piece of paper to know that he has already captured Bon’s heart.”
