Manon froze.
“We sat at a table for almost an hour,” Daniela continued, her words tripping over each other in her excitement. “She was so sweet and she made me feel like I wasn't alone at that time. And earlier, before we left the set, I managed to pull her aside. I asked for her number.”
She gestured to her phone. “We haven't stopped texting since we got back to the hotel.”
Manon’s grip on her own elbows tightened. A flat and hollow sound was all she could say, and it ended up being similar to a brick wall.
“Oh.”
It was a bitter pill to swallow. How ironic, really, considering Manon had spent the entire morning rehearsing exactly how she was going to ask for Sophia’s number herself.
