Redacted means removed. It means you're taking something out of your writing. Usually that's because it's a secret. When my Dad told me my hero had to be all those, I wanted to cry for him.

Summary
But before Sing walks away, he jerks his thumb over his shoulder, to the left, to the left. Yut-Lung’s eyes follow along to the left. He sees what Sing wants him to see: the vase in the corner, the dead blooms stooping low their heavy heads. Their petals were so lush that they haven’t dried and shriveled, but have rotted like fruit. It must smell like a saccharine death, made worse by Yut-Lung’s cloak of wine. Yut-Lung is almost embarrassed, but he’s ultimately too drunk for the usual dose of shame.
“Ah, yeah,” says Yut-Lung. “Yikes.”
“Yikes,” agrees Sing.

"You were stupid," Eiji laughs.
"Yeah, yeah," says Aslan. "I got it already." His voice is New York thick: gritty and vibrant, the great tangling jungle ever advertised. But he's not protesting, as if he knows he can't. I watch them and wonder how many times they've cycled through this ping pong game of smiling and grumbling. Aslan is sharp as a tack, but I get the feeling Eiji is usually the winner.
This is how they choose to answer me after I ask them how they met. I've been working for weeks on a piece about couples in Central Park.

Summary
The following is a series of abridged excerpts from Elaine Prescott’s ‘Letters of Note: American Correspondences from the 1900s, Vol. 4: 1975-1999’.
--
The young man, referred to by some with the title of that first photo—“Dawn”—simply vanished from Okumura’s lens. Okumura never spoke about “Dawn” in interviews or remarks on his own work, and he never answered questions about him. “Dawn”, as a person, remained entirely in mystery […]
The letters, notes, and excerpts compiled here were donated to this project from Okumura’s personal works by his niece. Notably, each of these was written by Okumura, and not received by him. In other words, these are letters that were never sent.--
Dear Ash,
How are you doing? -

“I’m no good for relationship advice. You’re better off asking your old teacher,” Yukimi said. “On second thought, no. Ask Hanabusa instead.”
“I never asked for relationship advice,” Miharu muttered.
(Miharu and Yukimi attend Tsukasa's wedding.)

Summary
And the boy stares back, lips parting, eyes disbelieving. “You can see me?” he returns, voice barely over a whisper, and yet it rattles Kaworu’s bones, a sound that feels achingly lost, and found again.
“Yes, of course,” Kaworu says, “Why wouldn’t I?”
