Summary
It was the best-looking airship in the whole field, Alex knew it was, but they’d only finished seventh. Ten people participated in the quarterly airship races, and as the newest team, lots of eyes were on them. And they’d only finished seventh. A measly six points. Alex felt pathetic.
“At least we finished,” George said. He still had his gloves on, the leather material squeaking as he stretched out his hands and shook his wrists. Alex’s own hands weren’t much better. They were blackened with soot, and he was sure his face and clothes were also in a horrific, ungentlemanly state.
or, Alex, George and Lando are an airship racing team.

"Not at all", Carlos replies, punctuating his words with a spin. The hand at Charles' waist pulls him in the tiniest bit. "I know whose bed you've been sleeping in the past few nights, and it wasn't theirs".

Royalty/Magic alternate universe where both Charles and Carlos are princes who met when they were little. Seventeen years later, they're reunited when Charles goes to Carlos' kingdom for a political visit. Angst and romance ensue.

Summary
The feeling of Carlos’ hand in the dip of his waist is hot and Charles swears he’ll look down when they finish there will be a singed handprint in his shirt.
“Fuck!” he swears, his voice bouncing off the walls of the studio. Charles sighs and lifts the hem of his shirt to wipe the sweat off his face. He walks over and stops the music. “I still can’t fucking get through it and the competition is next weekend.”
“What if we walked through it slowly without the music,” he offers. “I’ll count us through it and we can keep doing it until you’re comfortable with it.”
“Yeah,” Carlos sighs, running a hand through his hair. Charles has to bite the inside of his cheek. “Okay, c’mere. Let’s run it through.”
It feels far more intimate holding his hand without the music on. He can feel the heat of his palm, the grooves of skin better. He tries not to focus on it as he counts them through slowly. He can practically feel Carlos’ brain working.
