Summary
“Mr. Mitchell, if I may. I’m army-trained and I’ve had a lot of experience in this field, especially with serious threats of this kind. I assure you, you’re in good hands.”
Ben can’t help but let his eyes wander down to the man's hands. They look big and strong from where they’re neatly folded in the man’s lap and Ben resolutely bites down on any innuendo threatening to claw its way up his throat, knowing it’s only going to worsen this situation. If this guy is really going to be following him around for the foreseeable future, he better at least try to be civil with him.
He has the feeling it’s going to be a long few weeks.

Summary
It doesn’t take more than a few moments before Callum fully wakes up, blinking one eye open first and then the other when he sees Ben turned towards him. There’s a small smile tugging at his lips, telling Ben he doesn’t actually mind being woken up already. Ben darts a hand out towards him, letting his fingertips dance over the side of Callum’s face. Over coarse stubble and smooth skin.
“Morning, husband.”
or, the ridiculously romantic honeymoon they deserved to have

Summary
he knew he should have left more than just a note, he should have communicated, owned up to what he had done. but callum ran instead, ran to a place where he could never be safe, a place where words were unnecessary and comfort not offered.
and now he was being sent home, more injured and broken than he had ever been before, to a place where he had belonged once, with him.
