Summary
If Buck had been paying attention, he most likely could've prepared himself. Could've slid on his finest poker face, steeled his resolve, solidified his best unassuming reaction that even Hen, even Eddie, couldn't see through.
But, really, all Buck ends up doing is gaping at the TV, eyes painfully wide as they watch the words carousel-ing on the bottom of the screen.
"Masked vigilante takes down armed robbery, frees hostages."
"Anonymous hero single-handedly saves lives and escapes custody."The screen flicks over to a live feed of some reporter, eyes alight as they bore through the TV screen.
"I mean, did we just witness the birth of our country's first real life superhero?"
Buck is going to be sick.
or; Buck, the newest probie at the Fire Department of New York, becomes Spider-Man. And crushes on Eddie somewhere along the way.

Summary
“You’re nervous,” Edwin states rather than questions, like it’s easier than breathing.
“Am not!” Charles practically squawks, fingers freezing in their fidgeting and curling into fists by his sides. He squeezes each fist a few times, eyes glued to his loafers. “Just hard to know what to wear, innit.”
The office is silent for a few moments, besides the low squeaking of the office chair as Edwin readjusts in it.
“Let me help you?”
And there’s the kicker.
—
or,when a case involving a murder mystery dinner gone wrong requires Edwin and Charles to dress the part, Edwin is delighted to help, and Charles struggles to focus on anything else. for obvious reasons.

Summary
There seems to be very little research dedicated to the aftermath of someone dying twice— because, well, that’s never happened. And there's an infinitesimal amount of research dedicated to what happens when someone dies once, but “passes on” twice, or the effects that may have on one’s psyche. But that’s happened once.
However, the only victim of aforementioned events just so happens to be Edwin Paine, who currently has no desire to discuss what he went through.
Thankfully, overpopulation is an issue, and there’s at least one ghost out there who’d like to pick his brain.
Or,
Crystal makes a suggestion, Edwin finds himself in an unfamiliar office, and Charles finally takes a trip to the library.
(Or or, therapy.)
