“I - uh, I could go with you?” Namjoon suggests.
Jungkook squeezes his eyes closed, letting out a breath through his nose before finally meeting Namjoon’s gaze. “You’d have to, um, pretend to be my boyfriend. You know, like…” he trails off, unsure what to say.
Namjoon smiles kindly. “I can do that, Jungkook-ah,” he insists. “How hard could it be?”
Privately, Jungkook thinks it could be very hard, but he still finds himself nodding, heart lodged in his throat.

Jungkook already knows that bringing a fake boyfriend to his cousin’s wedding is a stupid idea. But it’s only made harder when Namjoon offers himself for the job, unaware of the fact that Jungkook has been in love with him for years.

Jungkook just watches Namjoon and hates that he finds the man a little—a lot attractive, still, the attitude ruins it, that’s for sure. It’s been weeks since anyone has caught Jungkook’s attention so romantically? Sexually? He isn’t even sure what he’s trying to conclude here. The fresh air must be getting to him.
“My animals are big,” Namjoon tells him, grinning. “I need to know if you’re going to be running for the hills the first time you see one of my horses up close.”
Jungkook almost rolls his eyes at that. “Wouldn’t dream of it, hyung.”
After getting his heart broken, Jungkook takes a job working at Namjoon's ranch for the holidays.
