Summary

Summary
After Sherlock’s suicide, John struggles to understand exactly what Sherlock was to him, and why he is mourning so deeply and wholly. He accepts help from an unwanted source, and in time is able to reconcile his feelings and move on to love again - just in time for Sherlock to reappear, awakening in John all the old feelings, but this time, the missing piece of the puzzle as well, the one he’d been unconsciously suppressing before the fall. To complicate matters, he’s got a relationship that’s actually working, a wedding to plan, a bright future ahead of him rather like the one he dreamed of before Afghanistan. Before Sherlock.
John has learned a lot about love in the years Sherlock’s been gone. The question is - how much has Sherlock learned?

"'Accio condoms,' Eliot muttered lazily, flicking his fingers in a twist that made the air around them snow purple sparks. Two wrapped squares whizzed out from under the bed.
'Is that a real spell?' Quentin asked, stunned.
Margo rolled her eyes. 'Just the gesture. That little nerd joke was definitely for your benefit.'"
Quentin thought he and Margo were putting Eliot to bed, but Margo and Eliot have better ideas. Semi-requited Margo/Eliot (Eliot is gay, y'all), in that she uses Quentin to get what she needs. Whether Eliot gets what he needs remains to be seen. Quentin gets everything. Mostly a fill-in for episode 1x11, Remedial Battle Magic. Canon-compliant shameless smut.

Summary
It was one of the many small, secret things about Quentin that Eliot guiltily treasured. Things he loved, things that made his skin flush. Things that got him hard. Little details he wished he could hold in his hands but that he had to pretend not to notice for fear of somehow tarnishing them, as if Quentin’s personality tics might be subject to Heisenberg’s fucking Uncertainty Principle.
And so Eliot observed them from afar, mentally snapshotting them and filing them away.
