“So why are you out here? Did old man leave you all alone at party?” Ilya said, grabbing a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and holding them out towards Kip. The other man shook his head, so Ilya took out one for himself.
“No, no. I just got a bit overwhelmed myself and stepped out for a minute,” Kip said, facing back towards the night sky.
“And it is boring,” Ilya added.
Kip laughed. “Yeah. . . The endless stream of old, straight men giving me weird looks doesn’t help.”
Ilya barked out a laugh at that. “I cannot imagine. This your first party with NHL, yes? As a couple?” Kip nodded. Ilya took a slow drag of his cigarette. “Now I understand why is overwhelming for you.”

Rozanov follows Scott with his own Lulla’s bag, a half-step behind Scott because he stumbled slipping his sneakers off. “Rozanov, say thank you to Kip. I wouldn’t let you in here otherwise.”
Kip doubts that but he lets Scott believe it for now.
“Thank you Kip,” Rozanov says with a crooked grin.

Summary
Win is in a traffic accident in London. Team has to find a way to get there and then keep it together in front of Win's family.
Insomnia has taken Team’s mind into raw, vulnerable places before, but this feels immensely more claustrophobic. He knows Win is hurt, but not how badly. He knows where Win is, but not when he can see him. He knows Win is alive, but not for how much longer.
When Team does swim, he makes double the noise, pretending he’s nineteen again and his cocky boyfriend is in the lane next to his, knowing without saying it that Team isn’t strong enough to beat him just yet.
