Summary
Kenjaku smiles, then runs his hand down Mahito’s face, hooking a finger under his chin and placing his thumb just under Mahito’s lip. He tilts Mahito’s head upwards, so that Mahito’s forced to open his eyes and meet Kenjaku’s unreadable gaze. “Shall I teach you, then?”
Mahito frowns. “Is that possible? That seven-three office worker cut through so many parts of me, and technically that should’ve caused me pain, but I didn’t feel anything.”
“Don’t compare me to that man. He was too clumsy, too eager, too focused on exorcising you.” Kenjaku says, tightening his grip on Mahito’s chin. Mahito only blinks up at him. “I’ll do everything with the sole intention of causing you pain. That’s what you want, isn’t it?”
Mahito offers him a lazy smile. “Please, Geto.”
Mahito wants to know what pain feels like, and Kenjaku is more than happy to show him.

Knuckles white, he holds it like a lifeline and tucks himself closer to Eren—hoping the boy doesn't say anything about the diminishing space between them. The air crackles with energy, and goosebumps prickle at Levi's skin. It's foolish to be afraid of a sound, weak and pathetic. Tutting, Levi pries his eyes open, gaze flitting about the darkness. Shadows look around them, their edges incorporeal—enemies in the black. His heart thuds against his chest, blood roaring in his ears.
