虽然我相信它还是因为porn得此盛名，但它确实是不负盛名（废话），就我中英文字数比率1.5倍的估算而言，这还是我头一次十五万字的小说读了五天（。）这个作者对自己的作品真的很用心，细节掌控得都很好。虽然我确实是对BDSM没有任何特殊兴趣，但这里面前¾的Ds关系都是很容易接受的，甚至给我一种“明明是雇佣关系但是好纯情好可爱”的感觉。看完了我也不是很理解包含scene的Ds，但你要是说“我需要我的人生被掌控，我需要有人来告诉我做对了，做得很好，我需要我的努力被接受并认可”，我也能体会到。作者就是，真的很会，写东西轻重缓急分得很明白，一些蒙太奇片段也不至于让人觉得突兀，不会有流水账让人感觉看得很累，对于这种篇幅的小说来说需要很强的写作能力的。描写小表情也很可爱，读着读着会笑出来，我现在想到Matt是个中学老师还是觉得简直合适到离谱。
有关于情感关系，我是很喜欢把事情摊开谈这个设定的，“I'll coddle you and you'll let me. ”真的很香好吗！赢了案子以后一边抱抱一边晃晃也是，domestic。哪怕你怎么看这都不应该是一段被肯定的关系，但它确实健康积极又幸福快乐。里面着实包含了一些triggering片段我看的时候想快速跳过，好在作者考虑人物感情都没有细说。（长吁一口气）
能接受Ds关系的话是一篇很好的小说，porn片段都涩涩到可以让人嘿嘿笑出来。虽然（唯一真心的虽然）没有我心中最佳那么巧妙的好，但是看完还是很想张开双臂喊一句完结撒花。
哦再补一句，这个作者是我蹦到AO3上之后看的第一篇翻译文的原作，她真的很会写，也很会坑（哭哭） -

又很浪漫又很涩涩。我真的很喜欢天将明未明里的亲密事件，处在迷蒙和清醒之间，一切光线都是灰蓝色，于是微风，安静，一切未曾说明的话语都不必再说明。
（但我觉得情感还可以更柔软忧郁一点吧，少那么一点点）

（我决定再多说两句。英文好像就很难写那种似是而非的感情，那种未满的爱意。虽然我只看了两篇，但这个作者的叙事风格很明显，语言缱绻，时间线接续，感情合在欲说还休的边沿上，所以很漂亮，但没有我看中文那么痛。母语真的很好读未言之意，读纠结缠绕的情意，所以虽然东亚同人文学确实略显疲敝，它还是我永远白月光。要是想痛，真的，这个还是得写be，不然外语永远赶不上母语的情感掌控力。） -

Mike sniffs hard and tries to anticipate whatever jab is coming next. “What’re you gonna do with me, huh?”
But Harvey just squeezes him a little tighter. “Idiot. That plan’s never changed. I'm gonna keep you.”

我决定把本圈最佳颁给这篇，Bravo!Better Half可能写得更美，但稍嫌drama和累赘了，语言更偏向于缱绻和不言自明。这篇的人物分析做得真的很出彩，在人物情感矛盾爆发的场景里处理得尤为妥帖突出。两个人吵架的三段话是在“契诃夫的枪”原则成立的前提下，既能揭露并解决矛盾，又能不导向“过犹不及”的最佳处理。就是，不是为了自我保护而违背本心地伤害对方，说出来就是mean it，但是因为个人的性格缺陷以及人的本能保留，依然造成了传达的偏差和无法回避的后果。
有关于创伤的部分因为专业性观感极佳，全篇带有一种图像式的暗示，让人不由自主地去刻画场景。（stand in a blood pool 和hand in his chest是真的可以做噩梦的场景）
情节的松弛张紧也好，采取近似电影剧本的技法，关于suits和人物性格象征之间的关系对应突出原作本身都可能缺乏的精确。（But the idea of paying that much money for clothing truly baffled Mike）
就剧情，人物剖析，情感发展的三者结合而言是不可多得的优秀。当然不是最能让我心绞痛的bittersweet，但是写原作分歧的剧情向可以是当之无愧的第一名。
（Harvey crumble down那段剧情真的很强，写出了mental trauma的外显表现）
（最后的那几段人物总结就很soothing）
