    "Shit. Shit, shit, shit." Sophie Cortes doesn’t mind not having real life friends, most of the time, but admittedly she should have at least tried to make a few before it came time to drag her queen size mattress up three flights of stairs.

    "God, I swear I will never again lie about being sick to cancel plans and watch Netflix, if you just help me get this bed upstairs." She takes a deep breath, looking up at the tiled ceiling for a boost of motivation before tugging again. It comes along easily, despite the cramped bend she had been struggling with, and only when she makes it safely to the top of the staircase does she realize why: a tall, dark-haired, brown-eyed man glistening with sweat is at the other end, biceps looking bitable against the sleeves of his t-shirt.
