She wanted to hurt her so fucking bad in ways she’d never hurt her before, there was no fist or cigarette or even curling iron that could properly express just how she wanted to hurt that doe-eyed bitch, so when she smashed her mouth against those dry, cracked lips in front of her it didn’t feel surprising, or strange, or anything other than fucking right.

Summary
More than a year later, she still didn’t know if seeing Himiko’s body one last time had been the right choice. On one hand, it should have helped the grieving process; seeing her, knowing she was gone. It meant there was no chance she was still somewhere out there. That final glimpse should have allowed her to move on without dwelling on what-ifs, at least that’s what she told herself.
Some nights, she still tried to convince herself the body wasn’t really Himiko’s, that it was fake, a clone created during the sad man’s death parade that somehow hadn’t turned to ashes. She still told herself that Himiko would be back one day.

The league of villains wake up at Kamino with all of their memories from the war in tact. Given a do-over, they're all determined to get a better ending. Unfortunately, having knowledge about the future doesn't guarantee that their changes won't result in even more complicated, messier issues. They’re still villains, after all. But they’re together again, and that’s the one thing they refuse to lose this time. They’ll tear the timeline apart before they let it break them the same way twice.
