Summary
Billie Jo was the first born of Elvis and Pricilla Presley. She was a quiet thing, unlike her younger sister Lisa Marie. She kept to herself and had a hard time making any friends. She would spend most of her days outside in the long grass, day dreaming and talking to herself. Her father pushed her a little too hard sometimes to be the star he claimed he knew she could be. Her mother tried her best to protect her, but there were always things that Billie could not escape from.
Billie Jo never wanted friends and she most certainly never wanted any fans. But after meeting one talented young black man, Billie Jo found herself stepping out of the tall grass and into something unfamiliar, something fragile and terrifying all at once.
She hadn’t wanted friends. She had never wanted fans. But she hadn’t expected to want him.
