Círdan wanted a quiet harbour. Gil-galad wanted a bit of fun. Elrond just wanted to be left alone to mope, read books, and eat chocolate, but apparently that wasn't "healthy" or "realistic" or "going to get you anywhere in life, Elrond." A completely irreverent tale following the adventures of a bored High King, his new herald, and said herald's serious attitude problem.
