Focus Y/N! Zuko, your best friend, is upset and tired. Now isn’t the time to have a weird, horny sexual fantasy. Usually, Zuko would argue with you, saying stuff like “These policies won’t write themselves, Y/N!” or “Helping the world is my duty, Y/N!” But today, he doesn’t argue back. He hums quietly and goes back to staring into your eyes, never breaking contact once. Okay, weird. Zuko’s usually not the one to hold eye contact. He had told you before that it just makes him feel weird and uncomfortable.
“That’s not all, Y/N. I just have someone on my mind. It feels like I can’t stop thinking about them. It’s distracting me.” He confesses, still staring at you like you hold the answers to all his problems or something. Again. Weird. “What, do you have a secret crush on someone?” You tease him, half expecting him to shove you off him and tell you to fuck off. Instead, he lowers his gaze, and a frown forms on his lips.
Basically, you and Zuko confess to each other and fuck nasty.

Zuko remembers seeing a waterfall, and the small cove it was spilling into, when he and his uncle set up base for the night.
It’s why he’s more than just a tad bit annoyed when the older man is nowhere to be found the following morning. His patience, and composure, waning thin when he sees what he can only assume is steam rising from the area he knew the body of water was located.
So he gets up, marching over with a scathing monologue he knew he could hurl at the man.
