Summary
“I promise I’ll call if I need help. Now, go. What is he going to think if he walks in and smells you all over me during my heat?!”
“Don’t worry. If he runs away, we’ll know it wasn’t because of your personality this time” Seungmin said with a wink.
Minho huffed, rolling his eyes as he swung the door open.
And stopped dead.
“Oh, fuck - ”
The scent of dark, rich chocolate hit him like a punch, thick and intoxicating. His mouth went dry, pupils dilating as his eyes snapped to the alpha standing just outside. Gorgeous. That was the first thought that registered before his brain caught up.
”…you.”
Jisung stood there, one hand raised mid-knock, his brows shooting up comically high as his wide eyes flickered between Minho and the six alphas practically pressed behind him. He leaned back slightly, glancing at the apartment number beside the door as if he wasn’t sure he was in the right place. Then his brows furrowed before a slow, cocky smile tugged at his lips.
“Oh, damn. Should I have brought backup too?”

Summary
Pointing at the bottom of the page, Minho waited for Jisung to read it. He leaned over into Minho’s space, eyes trailing along the miniscule words.
Only through the mutual and willing exchange of vital essence may the bond be loosed.
Jisung raised a brow. “Vital essence?”
“That sounds filthy,” Minho said with a grin.
A dull thud sounded as Jisung’s hand smacked against Minho’s arm.
“Fuck off. What if it means… blood?”
“Why would wizards ever swap blood, Sung-ah?”
Jisung shrugged. The words tugged at his brain, though, and he began to warm at the realization that Minho was probably right.
“So,” he began, fiddling with his fingers. “If you’re right, and it’s meant to be… that, then—”
“We have to sleep together, I guess.”
(or: Jisung just wants Minho to notice him, but his plan goes a little awry.)

Summary
“Stop making this easy, Sung-ah.” Minho’s voice is a gravelly rasp. A feral smile flashes, all sharp teeth, as his lips curl. “Didn’t you say you wanted to run?”
Jisung’s lips part into a trembling gasp. His body is a traitorous thing, shaking with a need so profound it feels like his bones are melting. Every instinct screams submit. But the older, deeper part of him, the one that’s primal, the one that’s tied to his heritage— the one from the tales whispered in the dark, the one that speaks of the sacred run— wins out.
He runs.
OR: When Jisung presents as an omega, he asks Minho for a mating run.

Summary
The cold reaches his knees, and Jisung shivers. He chokes on a sob. “Minho.”
Minho peels himself away. Slow and cautious, like he doesn't want to startle Jisung.
Kind, Jisung thinks. He's always so kind.
“We're going to be okay,” Minho smiles. It's more beautiful than the falling stars in the water. “I promise.”
