Summary
It's a beautiful day. A-Xu is looking forward to spending the afternoon curled up in his favorite sunbathing spot. Of course, that is if a certain Samoyed will leave him alone, which is highly unlikely. When Chengling opens the gate to the dog park, A-Xu braces himself. Three, two, one... WHOOMP! His entire field of vision whites out.

Summary
Zhou Zishu sends a pillow flying towards Wen Kexing, who shields himself from the attack with an excessively loud shriek. Holding another pillow menacingly, Zhou Zishu points towards the kitchen. “Out!” Wen Kexing laughs and blows him a kiss, continuing to sing entirely off-key as he walks away. “Know my love infinite, nothin' I wouldn't do. That I won't do, switchin' for you.”
(Or, a modern day AU in which Wen Kexing still knows excessive amounts of classical Chinese poetry but instead decides to use pop songs to flirt with his husband and tell him about his feelings.)

Summary
Lan Zhan always felt most at peace when he was at the rink. On the ice, cool wind brushing past his face. At least, he used to. Now, the red flush that spread in response to that loud voice calling his name was inevitable. Uncomfortable, unwanted, even hated sometimes— but inevitable.
(Or, how the want inside Lan Zhan changes from the time he is sixteen to eighteen and twenty-four years old even though his blushes stay the same. A figure skating AU.)

Summary
At Lan Zhan’s expectant look, Wei Ying shakily took the other end of the ribbon, hearing a sharp inhale at the motion, and clumsily coiled it around Lan Zhan’s wrist. It reminded him of their adventure in the Cold Spring Cave, but when he looked up from their bound wrists and opened his mouth to mention it, he was struck dumb by the look in Lan Zhan’s eyes.
An intensity shone out from their golden depths as he clasped Wei Ying’s hands between his larger ones and uttered in a low, fierce voice, “You now have the allegiance of my Sect, of my family, and if necessary, the protection of my body as well.”
(Or, Wei Ying lives in 21st century China until a fateful day when he falls through time into the ancient cultivation world, where he finds himself torn between returning to his life in the future and the man who has stolen his heart in the past.)

Summary
He couldn’t find anything in Wen Kexing’s body that should be keeping him from waking; it stood to reason that it was his mind that was the problem. Zhou Zishu probably knew Wen Kexing’s mind as well as anyone else alive or dead, and he doubted it was straightforward. So he read about the techniques of Healer Valley, and held Wen Kexing’s wrist or his hand or his cool cheek. The prevailing theory was that the best way to settle a person’s mind for them was in dreams. After all, wasn’t it dreams that told the truth when nothing else would?
Zhou Zishu wasn’t sure that was true. And he didn’t imagine that Wen Kexing would appreciate having his secrets dragged into the light that way. But frankly it was his own fault; it wasn’t as though he’d left Zhou Zishu any choice. If Wen Kexing would only wake up, he would welcome his complaints.

Summary
Zhou Zishu has never believed in the concept of soulmates, not really. Sure, he’s seen the “heart-warming” videos online of these couples supposedly meeting for the first time in this life, the soft gasps and dramatic embraces. Even if they didn’t seem completely staged - really, what are the chances that so many reincarnated lovers would find each other on camera - he still would be skeptical.
This belief lasts thirty years, right up until the moment that Zhou Zishu is taking his morning run through the park near his house.

Summary
“You can go on, if you want,” he said when Zhou Zishu stopped for breath. “Scold and punish me for seven years, then I will scold you for the next seven, and then we’ll have to find something else to do.”
The thought of years took any other words out of his mouth. Zhou Zishu had gotten used to measuring time in thimblefuls. A New Year’s day, a drift of peach blossoms blown off the trees: each one, perhaps, the last he would see. There wasn’t a container in his mind big enough to hold years, decades, centuries.
