Summary
Buck works at a small smoothie shop, keeping life simple and routines predictable. Eddie Diaz, a professional hockey player, starts showing up every day after practice, always ordering the same smoothie. What begins as casual interactions slowly turns into playful rivalry competing over who can make the better smoothie, teasing, and subtle flirting.
But when Eddie realises he doesn’t like seeing other people flirt with Buck, the tension turns into something undeniable.

Summary
Bobby died and Eddie left. Bobby died and Eddie left. It was like those words repeated in his mind over and over. Nothing was the same any longer. The thought of working at the 118 made Buck feel like his chest was caving in and he couldn’t breathe. Sure Hen, Ravi and Chim were there but the feeling of home was gone. Buck didn’t even know if he wanted to be a fire fighter anymore. He didn’t feel the joy or purpose any longer. The fire had burned out, no pun intended.
Or
What if Bobby really did die and Eddie did leave to go back to El Paso? What does Buck do when everyone leaves??? He packs up and runs away only to come back 3 years later. A changed man with a daughter. Will he and Eddie be able to figure their shit out and finally get their happy ending? Of course they will because this is my story and only HEA's are allowed. Though the first chapter is pretty sad so you are warned.

Summary
He finally cracks when Buck switches the station again, making a lingering pit stop on one that is just a loud crackling noise. Eddie reaches over and bats his hand away with a swift tap, jabbing his thumb at the off button and exhaling when the car goes silent.
Buck, beside him, huffs. “I was listening to that.”
Eddie can feel him staring, but keeps his own gaze focused on the road ahead and raises his brow. “To static?”
“I was trying to find a good station,” Buck mumbles, slouching down in his seat.
“Okay,” Eddie says evenly, “well, we’re five minutes from home. I think we can survive a little silence until then.”
A beat passes. Then, “Seven minutes.”
Eddie blinks. Blinks again. “What?”
“We’re seven minutes from home,” Buck corrects.
Jesus Christ. How hard is Eddie going to have to go to fuck the attitude out of him when they get home? He flicks on the indicator and turns down a familiar street. “Buck,” he sighs.
“What?”
Or: Buck brats. Eddie puts him back in his place.

Summary
"So," Buck says, sliding onto the seat next to Eddie while the auction winds down around them. "Mystery bidder. That's exciting."
Eddie takes a very deliberate sip of water. "Yep."
"You know who it was?"
"Nope."
"You don't even seem curious," Buck tries.
"Not really."
"Someone spent over two grand on you, Eddie. On a date with you. Like a date-date. With food and conversation. And you're just— what, chill about it?"
Eddie shrugs. The picture of nonchalance. "It's for charity."
"It's for— okay." Buck gapes. He’s got nothing. He’s standing at the door and Eddie has deadbolted it from the inside. "Cool. Great."
It is not cool. It is not great. Buck is aware that his definition of cool and great has always been somewhat flexible, but this doesn't qualify under any interpretation.
Or,
Buck just wants to know who bid on Eddie. That's it. That's all he wants. He's being totally normal about it.Bookmarked by starkgrande

Summary
“Say chain of command one more time.” Buck snarls, annoyed that Eddie keeps repeating that phrase and is not listening to his point of view.
“Or what?” Eddie says low and dangerous. “I’m not the one at risk of punishment here. I’m not the one who was reckless. I’m not the one that needs to be reminded they are not expendable.”
Eddie steps close to him, looming over him from above and grabs Buck’s face between his thumb and his pointer finger, angling his neck up so Buck has no choice but to look at Eddie. He squeezes gently until Buck has no choice but to unclench his jaw. “Baby… you did a good thing, but you did it in a bad way. And honestly, you scared the hell out of us. And I can’t let that fly. So you and I are going to talk about this after the shift.”
Amongst his irritation, Buck feels a shiver of anticipation. Both nervous and excited. The way Eddie is looking at him is filled equally with hunger, fear, and anger.
