Summary
It makes sense. As soon as his eyes fall upon the petal from his throat, he knows exactly why it’s there and exactly what it means. He just never thought it would actually happen to him.
Hanahaki disease is much more rare these days; most people don’t even think it exists at all. Nothing more than a popular urban legend. And although Jisung knew that it was in his blood, that it was in fact a real disease, no one in his family had presented with it in over a hundred years. Until now, apparently.
He knows exactly what flower is taking root within him as well. He’d be a fool not to. He’d know, even if he had never seen it with his own eyes.
Cosmos, of course.

“Are you going to miss living with them?” Hyunjin asked, casually. “Your boys?”
“Not a chance! I get to live with the one and only Hwang Hyunjin, the love of my life, the apple of my eye! I’m living the dream!”
Hyunjin snorted—the only person on the planet who could make a snort sound delicate and refined. “Please,” he said, but as he fiddled with his plant, his lips curled into a smug smile.
“It’s true,” Changbin insisted. “You know there’s no other man for me.”
Hyunjin shot him a look. “You always say that.”
“Because I mean it!!” Changbin said, earnestly, sitting up to underscore his earnestness. Why was it that when he was being completely serious, everyone thought he was joking? “I’ll say it every day if you want me to. Roomie.” He wiggled his eyebrows.
“Hm.” Hyunjin sat down next to him, his long limbs folded gracefully as he surveyed the room. He nudged Changbin with his knee. “Roomie.”
“Look at us,” Changbin said. “Being roomies.”
Changbin and Hyunjin move in together. Things reach a breaking point.
