Summary
Human beings are terribly complicated even in their simplicity - contrasting, conflicting things shaped by their environment, by missing pieces, by time.
Between love and hate. Between purpose and desire. Between guilt and absolution. Self-loathing, self-sacrificing, sanctimonious, pragmatic, cruel.
Maybe, just maybe, there's a little bit of Hope in there too. If only there were a way to peel back the layers of artifice to the kindness and vulnerability beneath the teeth and desperation.
[Prompt fill/character study drabbles from the perspective of Nicholas D. Wolfwood, additional characters and notes forthcoming.]
