soul..... buddy once you realize boyfriend isnt going to hop back up again and say "we did it!!!" how much would it hurt to know that the progress you made was all pointless? how long did you wait for someone that isnt there anymore? and that someone was the first and last person youd ever talk to?

With the fall of the last one standing in its way, the corruption is free to spread across the world in a never-ending nightmare. Not that Boyfriend's aware of that: he's been unconscious this entire time as the corruption uses him to further its goals.
Confinement. Paralysis. Loss of control. Is this where you want to be? WAKE UP!
He's not safe even in his own head. The corruption's here to finish him off once and for all, and Boyfriend's too tired to stop it. So... why is it encouraging him to fight back? Why is it happy that he's standing his ground? And why is it not actually trying to hurt him?
