About Arou- she is a human hailing from Baldur’s Gate who’s in way over her head with all the mind flayed abduction nonsense, but is much too stubborn and optimistic to roll over and do nothing about it! what she lacks in combat skills is made up for in having a level head, an excellent hand for tailoring, and good people skills.
she is also asexual+biromantic but is/will be pursuing a relationship with astarion, but their romance path is written a bit differently than game canon.
