Summary
Shane Hollander has spent the better part of the last five years knocking out hit after hit for the Assassin's Guild and becoming one of the most lethal agents in the business. After a series of unprecedented, wildly successful cases across the country, his boss pulls him off the active case roster for eight months. He's been keeping tabs on the Boston Bratva for years and has finally deemed Shane ready to take out their leader, Morpheus.
The only problem is that undercover agents have been able to turn up little to no information regarding Morpheus's identity. The only information the Guild has been able to dredge up is the name of one of their business fronts: a sophisticated private nightclub called Nyx, and the name of its director, bratva member Ilya Rozanov.
or: Ilya is a low ranking member of the Russian mafia and Shane is the assassin hired to kill his boss.

It’s just…
She’s in his fucking jersey.
Rose fucking Landry is in Shane’s fucking jersey.
In Ilya’s fucking city. His fucking arena.
What else would he be other than pissed?
Shane’s glowing. Is the thing.
He looks so pleased with himself and everytime the camera cuts back to him he’s smiling at the ice and laughing with Pike and Ilya can’t watch. He’s liable to do something really fucking stupid if he does.
or: Rose wears Shane’s jersey to a Montreal x Boston game and Ilya is fine.

Summary
“This is awkward. This room isn’t available to the guests.” He’s holding back a giggle and can see in the twitch of his lips that Ilya is too. They’re never played around like this. Never been comfortable enough to have fun instead of just sex.
Ilya nods, solemn. “Hm. That is disappointing.”
God he’s so handsome. Shane’s eyes drift to his lips and he gets an idea.
“I’m sorry, sir. We’d really like to accommodate you-”
But then the expression on Ilya’s face shifts and suddenly it's not a game anymore.
It’s a split-second of fear that he missed the mark. He only barely even remembers that conversation.
“Maybe you could teach me Russian?”
“Only important phrases. Like ‘yes, sir’ and ‘harder, please.’
Ilya had been joking but... there had been a note of earnestness to his voice. Right?
or: A rewrite of the bellboy scene where Shane calls Ilya "sir" and a puzzle piece clicks into place.
