Perched on one of the seats is an all-black cat with a standoffish attitude, its green eyes reduced to slits as it stares them down.
Bachira coos over it, fearlessly granting a scratch behind the ears. “Look, Rin-chan,” he says. “This cat is like you!”
Rin makes an expression that would fit better at a hospital. Or a funeral. The cat also does this.
Bachira, Isagi, and Rin meet up for a study date. Kind of.

Summary
Isagi was getting used to the shape of Rin's attention:
How he jammed his fingers into Bachira’s back whenever his spine sagged without tension. Barked, “WRONG,” every time they made a move that wasn’t his exact flavor of climbing. Called Isagi’s latest boulder, “fucking lukewarm,” like he was some kind of underpaid undersecretary, delivering him coffee for the day.
Still, Rin never failed to hold up his end of the bargain in this tenuous belaytionship: to show them some damn good climbing.
The little flame in Isagi’s chest was back. It licked him black and blue.
After a near-fatal climbing accident, Rin resolved to never fail again. Isagi swore he'd take the wind out of this pretty boy's sails. And Bachira? All he wanted was a soft landing, just this once. Going up and growing up; cord of threes and all.
