Summary
George takes his love for Formula One to the next level - buying a failing team in hopes of bringing it back to the top. One problem: he needs to convince Ringo to join him, but Ringo has no particular interest in Formula One - that is, until he lays eyes on a young prospective Formula 3 driver.
AU timeline: The Beatles were famous in the 2000s, rather than the 1960s. George and Ringo are in their late-30s at the beginning. Formula One starts off based around the mid-point of the 2016 season, with some events of 2018 tied-in, though from 2017-onwards it will be more accurate (just with different results, obviously). 'Formula 3' is a mix of the 2015 and 2016 European F3 seasons but follows the 2016 GP3 season calendar for the sake of it being the support series.
