Once he had her settled again, he waited for her eyes to flutter closed before stepping back out into the hallway. He had been intending to piss in the fancy upstairs bathroom before going back down to pretend to sleep again, but stopped dead when he saw Alison standing at the end of the hallway. She was in her pyjamas- an old matching set that seemed expensive, softened by how many times she had worn it. He could see the slight bags under her eyes, the exhaustion written into the lines on her face. It seemed nobody in this house got much sleep anymore.
