Summary
It’s been a year and a half since Kuina died. Zoro’s life feels completely empty still. Life is meaningless. He gets up, goes to the gym until he passes out and comes back home. His friends worry, get him out once a month or so… but it doesn’t make him feel better. He’s been swallowed up by grief and he’s doing nothing to try to climb back out. It feels like this is exactly where he needs to be.
But it’s getting tiring, to live every day like this. To not even be motivated to continue their dream of founding a dojo. He even stopped giving martial arts classes altogether. Everything hurts too much, and he’s just bitter and lonely. He’s living off the properties he inherited form her will and nothing else.
That is, until one day he fights with Kuina. Or rather, with himself. How dare she leave him behind in this godforsaken world?! How dare she say in her letter that he should ‘keep living’ and ‘enjoy his life’?! She even mentioned ‘moving on’!
How?! With who?! No one else is worth a damn in this world anymore.

“You know what?” Sanji tells the room at large, a cigarette clamped firmly between his teeth as he tries to steady his nerves, while simultaneously waiting for his impending doom. “I’m just going to come right out and say it, this is entirely my own fault.”
His companion stirs next to him, his shoulders rising and falling to show he’d heard Sanji, even though his sole remaining eye stays focused on the image in front of them. “That tracks,” he says easily. “Most things usually are.”

Zoro blinked. "What?"
"Think about it. They want us together so badly? Fine. We'll get together. We'll be so disgustingly, overwhelmingly in love that they'll be begging us to break up within a week."
It was a terrible idea. It was absolutely, catastrophically stupid.
"I'm listening," Zoro said.
