Summary
Jinx doesn’t know what the etiquette is regarding contacting your childhood best friend turned enemy turned one-night-stand who she’d like to be more-than-a-one-night-stand. They’re supposed to be enemies, and generally enemies don’t meet up for regular clandestine sex.
Of course, she doesn’t actually want to be Ekko’s enemy in the first place, but his insistence on the whole anti-shimmer, anti-some-types-of-crimes-but-not-others thing makes that a bit untenable for the immediate future. She doesn’t understand why it even has to matter. She’s just doing what she’s good at. It’s basically just a job. She doesn’t really want to fight him, doesn’t really want to kill his annoying little Firelights. But he keeps bringing them into the middle of shit they have no business being in, so if she has to shoot some of ‘em, frankly she thinks that’s on him.
And, really. There’s the undeniable fact that she’s killed his friends and he fucked her anyway.

Summary
She hates this. She hates that this is the scenario in which she is watching Ekko eating fruit in the most sexual way possible. Because if he hadn’t chained her to a wall, this would be prime flirting material. She would be the one making him feel uncomfortable and hot under the collar by his fruit eating. She’d watch him the whole time he ate, watch as he tried to neuter what should be a completely innocuous activity. She’d raise an eyebrow at every suggestive noise, maybe comment on his technique, even go so far as to ask him if he was trying to give her ideas. But instead she’s feeling turned on and agitated and like the butt of the joke.
So far, Ekko is winning. And not because she let him. Unforgivable.

Interspersed with other oneshots of Jinx and Ekko’s interactions with other characters related to their complicated relationship.
Though they all take place in the same universe/timeline, each oneshot is self-contained, and doesn’t require you to have read previous parts for it to make sense. They connect, but can be read in any order. The overarching story is the development of timebomb’s relationship behind the scenes, starting in the season 1 timeskip.

she could see the way his face was set. like he was trying, trying his hardest to feel something. the girl said something else with a gentle smile, batting thick lashes that jinx could see even from her post. his eyes weren’t guarded, weren’t annoyed or distant. there was effort in them.
she'd seen that face before. the face of a man forcing something that just didn't fit.
