Summary
The sound of knocking brings him back to reality. It's not like Dazai's expecting anyone, but he also doesn't have anything better to do, so he decides to check who wants to see him so late at night.
"Well, well, what do I owe the pleasure?" he asks teasingly, recognising the familiar figure, then abruptly stops, because Kunikida's leaning on the door frame, breathing heavily, face covered in blood.

Summary
Kunikida goes to his parents in the countryside every once in a while. It's an effective way of taking a small break from his work, and keeping in contact with his parents. So this summer he does just that.
Dazai on the other hand, spends his vacations on drinking a little too much, and trying to find a woman to commit double suicide with. Just wasting his time at his place or at some bar.
But that gets boring eventually since he just doesn't succeed, and he isn't in the mood to even try this summer.
So when he found out what his work partner, kunikida will be doing this summer, he suddenly came up with the idea to join him instead.Just spending some time away from Yokohama with kunikida could be interesting, right?
