What if you are so angry at the world, and you simply cannot find a place to put that feeling? What if even the man you love most cannot bring you back to your 'quiet and chaotic self'?

Ilya is angry at everyone and everything. No one can do anything right. It’s the sensation of a block of stone in his stomach that keeps him nauseous. His heart races. It isn’t panic. It’s something more.

It is the feeling of a grief that has nowhere to go. Grief is unpredictable and knows no timeline. Even though his father was not a kind man (to put it mildly), Ilya still mourns. He mourns for a lost childhood, for warmth, for love, and for the simple feeling of being cherished.

This takes place after the "Long Game." Ilya’s father passed away some time ago. But the realisation is only hitting him now.

It's mostly just Shane and Ilya being absolute menaces to each other over text, but in like.... in a domestic way? Think: arguments about who bought the wrong milk and playing yathzee while sharing a couch. Just soft, homey vibes for them.
