That should've been the end of it. Mu's plan ended in failure; the world bound together to beat her, to tell her to get lost. And they got their wish, she's more lost than ever, fated to die in a shell of her home. But when a time piece falls down in front of her and she flees for her life with an unexpected ally, she discovers there's a lot people aren't willing to forgive and that time is stubborn.
But so is she. And perhaps that's what the world needs.

Something goes wrong, however, and Hat Kid ends up somewhere... different yet similar to the place she's come to be so used to while living her life.
Now she's struggling to find out how to get home while dealing with an assortment of familiar but ever-changing characters that try to help, hinder or just ignore her while she tries to figure out what is going on and whether or not she'll be back in time for her celebratory birthday cake.

Summary
