Suguru snorts. “I’d be a lot less freaked out if you just came out and said it.”
“Would you, though?”
He bites back a sigh, his eyes momentarily flicking up to the ceiling. “Manami.”
“Suguru,” she spits back.
“What, is the guy fucking yakuza or something?”
Silence. Dead fucking silence.
Suguru’s gaze jerks back down to Manami, who is very pointedly twirling a strand of her pink hair around a finger as she studies the nail polish on her other hand. It’s both painfully disinterested and absolutely forced, and Suguru chokes out a sound that is somewhere between a gasp and a groan.
“Manami,” he asks. “Did you book me to tattoo a fucking gangster?”
Or, Suguru Geto gets hired to do a very specific tattoo, is inducted into the Japanese mafia, and gets himself a very strange murder boyfriend, in that order.

Summary

Rock Lee, now a jonin and instructor at the academy, is assigned to oversee a squad in Suna for six months. Gaara, busy with his Kazekage duties, barely interacts with him at first until strange feelings start getting in the way.

Summary
Somehow, that’s what gets her smile to drop, and she takes a defiant bite of her now lukewarm food. The grilled skin crunches somewhat as she chews, still staring at me. Amidst the usual unease of being constantly ogled, there’s something imperceptible about her mien. Ubel is an enigma most days in any case, but at certain times, I’ll feel that there’s something off. I despise the fact that I can’t tell what. Often, she appears to look through me just as much as she does at me.
This is precisely the reason I prefer using clones. That way, I’ll survive, even if those knives she calls eyes bleed me dry.

“There is no way for a dead cultivator to return,” Jiang Cheng scoffed, not even willing to entertain the thought.

“I asked you what you would do for your brother back,” Nie Huaisang started, “I would do anything to have mine back, Jiang Wanyin. And I’m here to offer you that same choice. Because our brothers’ deaths never should have happened. They happened because of schemes and plots. They happened because of lies and deception. Your brother was made to be a villain and was led to his death because he was too powerful. Mine was murdered because he stood in the way of Jin Guangshan.”
There's nothing Jiang Cheng wouldn't do to have his siblings back. And when Nie Huaisang comes to him with a proposal to save them by changing everything, he doesn't even hesitate to agree.
