They usually meet in Roman’s office, once or twice have met in Roman’s apartment, but never in Sam’s. But Sam had texted Roman to say that he was busy tonight, and Roman had found that inexplicably annoying.
“Roman.” Sam seems startled as he opens the door. “I thought I said I couldn’t see you today?”
“Yep.” Roman clicks his tongue. “‘Busy’ apparently. Don’t look very busy to me.”

Summary
Thank God, Tom thinks, glancing down at himself, that there isn’t any blood this time, and as he finishes the thought he feels his face twist in a wry smile, and he chokes back a laugh that threatens to spill out of him. He’s standing in his office, holding some award he got for something related to ATN awkwardly in his right hand, almost like a club. He doesn’t remember what the award was for, but he does remember dragging Greg into his office for a celebratory drink afterwards.

Tom rubbed his forehead. “Every hospital in the United States has a blood bank, Greg. How bad could it be to just skim a little off the top? No one even has to die that way.”
“But I think, like, the family would still be basically parasites, more or less,” Greg said. “In the sense of possessing a bloodlust and, uh, sating it with the bodies of countless innocents.”
