Satoru had never expected his reaction for the call he pleaded the gods for to be like this.
He may have never been a believer; but for another glimpse of Suguru, he would pray to the gods or maybe he was praying to his lover? Satoru didn’t know but he would beg and plead.
As his prayers were answered, Satoru wanted to be happy and to be relieved.
It's not that he was sad. Satoru just felt nothing.
