Summary
Ever since she’d been small, Hermione’s reward for good marks had been a rampage through a bookshop, so the day she tore open her O.W.L.s results and triumphantly brandished the eleven Outstandings, her beaming mother said, “We’ll go to Foyles tomorrow,” without any discussion required.

Bookmarker's Notes
She’d been braced for Malfoy and his lot to start heckling her immediately, about how they all had more generations, but oddly enough all of them had gone silent and were staring straight at her with eerily blank expressions. Maybe Harry had found some way to dose them all with Soporific Slush at dinner. The silence actually threw her off a moment—then she plunged on. “However, I believe that in some cases, a strictly pureblood line might continue on for longer, through the transposition of some of the repetitions onto a neighboring chromosome,” and put up the illustration of Harry’s transposed sequence—his name removed of course, although he’d given her permission anyway—with the note about the unusual side effect on hair.

Summary
'“I’ve been falling for some time, through darkness, and pain, and fire. And then I saw you, shining through the shadows, and I knew you would catch me one day. But you didn’t, I fell right past you, further than I ever imagined I could, and now I wonder if I’ve finally hit the ground.”'
When a spell goes wrong Sam ends up stranded in the north Canadian wilderness with nothing to do but bunker down and wait for rescue, which wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the broken angel he's accidentally brought along for the ride.

Sam sighs. He could think about this - think about the fact that there’s a man collapsed in his arms who also goes by the more formal title of Price of Darkness, and also just happens to be an angel who’s bleeding when he really shouldn't be, unconscious when he really can’t be, in a bathroom that still smells like what Sam’s strongly starting to suspect is wings. But he's in a cabin, in the middle of the Canadian wilderness, and he can still feel the damp of snow in his hair and hear the wind howling outside, and for now, at least until he gets his brain back into functioning order, that’s that hand that’s winning.

Summary
His gaze sweeps down and then back up, very pointedly noting, “you’re not wearing clothing,” like he’s either trying to determine why Harry isn’t wearing clothing, or why Harry would open the door not wearing clothing.
“Merlin, fuck, what!?” Is Harry’s rather eloquent response.
Harry Potter: Recently orphaned, newly appointed junior lord in the Wizengamot, with no life direction and absolutely zero clue what he’s doing.
Lord Thomas Gaunt shows up one morning at his door, asking for a favor, and Harry quickly finds that it’s not something he can easily refuse.

“Please, Lord Potter, we both know you’ve never cared about politics,” Gaunt replies, dismissive in a way that puts Harry's teeth on edge. “In that, you may actually lend a perspective that’s more conducive to bipartisanship. You're not so ingrained in the family lines we’ve divided ourselves into for centuries.”

Summary
Ever since Harry’s found himself stuck in the 1940s, he’s been trying his best not to draw attention to himself at Hogwarts and to keep out of Tom Riddle’s orbit as much as possible. Unfortunately, Tom doesn’t appear to have gotten the same memo, however, as he simply won’t leave the young omega alone.
He’s even gotten it into his head apparently that Harry needs an alpha chaperone to Slughorn’s Christmas party, of all things. What could he possibly be up to now and why is he so bound and determined to bring Harry into it? This whole ordeal is just giving him a headache.

Bookmarker's Notes
“Yes, yes, quite right,” Slughorn agrees blithely. “And it certainly shows tonight especially. You look pretty as a picture, my dear,” he says to Harry, speaking to him in the same amicable doting manner that an uncle might when complimenting a favorite nephew or niece.
His eyes soften as they land briefly on the cluster of asphodels pinned to the omega’s robes. “My own late wife was much the same way, you know,” he goes on nostalgically as he turns back to Tom. “She could never be induced to leave the house a single moment before she was ready, and woe be to anyone who tried to tell her that she looked ready a single moment before she had already decided she was,” he chortles quietly in fond memory.

Summary
Kinslayer, they name him now. One-eye. Lucerys Velaryon has marked him twice over. Aemond has stolen Driftmark's heir, Rhaenyra and the Rogue Prince's beloved son. His mother and sister will not look at him. Even in death, Aemond will not be free of the boy.
And Lucerys? Lucerys falls, and lives, and remembers everything. He has lost his dragon, failed his Queen’s first command, and proven himself to be exactly as worthless an heir as he told her he would be. They’ll be better off for his loss, all of them.

She has read a hundred histories of their people, before even the fall. This answer, once it came to her, was so simple as to be absurd.
How many wars have started with a man’s obsession? How many wars have ended with its satisfaction?
