Yoongi has never needed protection.
Even when they were kids, he'd brush it off and tell them all to stop fussing over him whenever he fell off his bike and scraped up his knees. He had no qualms about defending himself and he would be the first to defend the others, too.
He was never the violent or aggressive type, though- always the sensitive, kind, nurturing, diplomatic hyung. But he had limits to his patience, as everyone does.
