Summary
Death, at least, is permanent. The Geo Archon is well-versed in seeing off fallen comrades. Closure and an honorable send-off can be given for both the sakes of the leaving and of the ones left behind. Absence, however, is an eternal thorn that pricks at one’s side, digging deeper and deeper into skin and flesh and bone. One can choose to ignore it until the mind breaks and decides to pull and chase.
The Lord of Geo feared that one day, the pain brought by the Anemo Archon’s absence would bite him in his sleep and swallow him whole.
