Summary
It starts with a Hellfire shirt. Mike doesn't know if it's cursed or blessed because wearing it always makes Will act strangely. Then, it's spiraling into a hope Mike didn't know he could have. Will has never been closer, but Mike still isn't sure he can have what he wants. Or can he?

“You’ll let me do your hair?”
Mike knows this is a bad idea. Knows he’ll be red the whole time and stutter and give himself away, but this is Will. Will with his hands in his hair, so close Mike can stare all he wants. Fantasize about what a kiss might be like. Hidden away in the safety of what should’ve been their bedroom. Maybe he can use today to convince Will it can be.
“Only if you make me look good.”
Will stands with a sweet smile. “Easiest job in the world then.” And then he disappears into the hallway before Mike can even start to stumble in front of him.
What?
What does that mean?

Summary
Nobody in Hawkins feels like celebrating the holidays this year. Maybe it has something to do with the giant metal Band-Aid splitting town down the middle, or the people who didn't survive to see it. With Dustin and Lucas preoccupied, Will and Mike rely on each other to make the most of the long, lonely winter.
Things get complicated along the way.
Or, Mike and Will write a comic book together over Christmas break. They're closer than ever, and there are so many elephants in the room.

Summary
Mike dreads the nights.
Not for any of the reasons he'd deem "normal," whatever that godforsaken word even means. He's not afraid of the dark, nor what lies in it, no, he fears the stillness. That empty stretch of hours where shadows fall, the world itself falling silent.
The nights give Mike the time to think, and good god, Mike does not want to be given the time to think.
OR: Somehow, Mike and Will would be doing alright if it wasn't for the nights.
(If it wasn't for the nights, they think that they could take it.)Bookmarked by tanaroki

Summary
“No, there— don’t make this weird, dude!"
“Stop that!” Will shrieks, floodgates bursting open. “Stop calling me dude, or man, or— just—”
“What should I call you?” Mike’s tone becomes sharper. “Honey? Sweetheart? Baby?”
Will shrinks a little into himself.
“God, Will— can you just be normal? Just be normal.”
Will tries unendingly to figure things out. Someone makes it especially hard for him.
OR: Will Byers spends his life navigating the blurry lines between friendship and something more.

Summary
“Wait,” Lucas takes another glance at Will, specifically at the sweater he’s wearing. “Is that Mike’s?”
Here’s the other thing about the last eight or so months of Will Byers’ life: he’s been spending his nights, on and off, secretly, semi-occasionally, very frequently, kissing Mike Wheeler.
He’s confused about it too, don’t even worry.
