In a way, Bakugou knows it’s his fault. He had turned a blind eye to it in the beginning, choosing not to interfere when Midoriya started to swallow the kingdoms and towns to the south. After all, it was all farmland at first. Bakugou couldn’t begrudge his old ally for wanting more right?
But then he took Gallopolis, breaking down Kaminari’s kingdom in one smooth and brutal move. His forces had been so much larger, and with Midoriya commanding them, it fell in a mere night. Messengers from the desert kingdom had ridden for days to reach him, passing along Kaminari’s last warning.
He’s coming for you.

Midoriya has a fixation on the new nurse. They're mysterious, constantly angry, and starting to get fed up with his obvious attempts at killing himself.
Bakugou is just trying to think of a way to get back to the front lines, but All Might has managed to saddle him down with a new (necessary) burden.
They speak in slow awkward pauses and subtle gestures in their faded, sunlit infirmary. It's so good and slow, until it's not.
