Summary
Obi-Wan came out of the tent, looking about as cold as Anakin. “Well,” he said, his voice muffled. “Hopefully the festival is a bit warmer.”
“Did someone say something about it being warm at—hmm, what did you call it again? The Ice Festival?” Ahsoka asked, crossing her arms as she and Rex emerged from their tents.
Obi-Wan gave her a flat stare.
“I don’t know what you expected, General,” said Rex. “She had to get it from somewhere.”
Obi-Wan sighed as they started walking towards the speeder. “Right. Well, Anakin, if you could kindly refrain from teaching our padawan sarcasm in the future, that would be much appreciated.”
Ahsoka snorted. “And where do you think he got it from?”

When Ahsoka watches a disheartening holonews program, Anakin thinks of ideas to cheer her up. What could be better than a local holiday festival, full of lights and winter cheer?
And who knows... maybe, despite the cold, Anakin will even fall in love with someone along the way.

The end of his longest-running relationship coincided with his appointment to executive editor of a new romance-focused New Adult imprint announced by their publisher. It was not the blindsiding that Obi-Wan had expected it to be; much like the new imprint, he'd seen the very clear road-map signs of the end of his and Satine's six-year relationship long before the future came. It's quite ironic, really, to place a forty-plus-year-old man in charge of an imprint focused on romance given how poorly his own personal life fared with it.
But, at least he has Anakin to help him.
Obi-Wan Kenobi has made an entire career out of editing romance novels, so he knows a thing or two about love stories—but not when it comes to his own. Not when it’s right in front of his face.
