Red is a color she has always associated with Ningguang. From the crimson dragon tattoo snaking up her thigh to the scarlet tassels adorning her hair and her vision, from her wine red lipstick to her piercing vermillion eyes. Red on Ningguang is all bold statements and brilliant hues, alluring and dangerous until it's unbearably clandestine.
But the blush that had bloomed across Ningguang’s face today had been softer, gentler — more rose pink petals than blood red spider lilies.
Red on Ningguang has always screamed warning signals, but today it whispers more of vulnerability than armor, and now Keqing has to admit that maybe Ningguang’s "I like you" was more earnest than she thought.
