Summary
“You promised to help me. To always be there for me.” Peter’s voice is soft, alluring, and spiteful. “You are not a liar.” His breath is cold against Jamie.
“You will help me. When the time comes, you will keep your promise, as I have kept mine all these years.” His touch is freezing, sticking to Jamie’s uniform shirt. He’s smiling against Jamie’s cheek. “Just. Keep. Watching.”

Summary
When Peter meets him, he holds his hand out to shake. A smile that Peter hadn’t seen before, glasses with broken lines, a book tucked snuggled under his arm. If it fell, it’d clatter.
One of the new hires after the incident.
“Jameson,” he introduced with a confident tremor, “but a lot of people call me Jamie.”
“Peter. Just Peter.” He shakes Jamie’s hand with a confident grip the Doctor taught him how to do.

Summary
A true feeling of hopelessness filled up Arthur’s heart, made it hard to breathe. The edges of his vision blurred, and he couldn’t find the strength to stop himself, much less move and try to dress his wounds.
There were a thousand thoughts on his mind, but all he could focus on was the moon high above him. A beautiful sight, and the last thing he’d ever see.
Arthur focused on steadying his breath. This wasn’t how he thought he’d go, but he should have expected it.
Just as he closed his eyes, Arthur heard footsteps nearby.
(After being badly injured and left for dead by O’Driscolls, Arthur is rescued by a strange, seductive man.)

Summary
Hosea swallowed, wet his lips before breaking the blanket of peace with a question, “What brings you out here, big cat?”
When Hosea was not mad with Dutch, he spoke his name with either affection or fierce loyalty. Either way, it was a promise never to leave his side.
For his part, Dutch sighed before retorting, “Likely the same reasons as you.”
