Summary
Eight years after the war, the veil in the Department of Mysteries takes unexplained action and somehow brings Severus Snape back to life. Only, the former professor and spy is now a six-year-old boy with no family and all of his past memories. Harry steps in to take care of the little boy, vowing to help him heal from his first life of trauma while keeping him safe from the dangers that still stalk their world. He becomes desperate to repay all the man had done for him now he had the chance. However, somewhere along the way, Severus Snape becomes far more than just a duty.

Raspen almost didn’t want to show it, ashamed of the pretensions of the Council and of half of the names in the cursed list. It hadn’t always looked as it did now. It used to have three times the names in it, but suggestion after suggestion to narrow it down had left it with fourteen names.
Still, he gingerly passed on the paper. No words were said, but they weren’t needed. Alcandor’s face said it all. “See, I told you it was bad.”
Dawne frowned, her list wasn’t that bad. How awful could Raspen’s be? Tired of being the only one without having seen it, she snatched the paper away. “Let me see,” Dawne read a few more names before her head shot up, eyes wide with disbelief. “They are making you choose a Submissive?”

Harry was finally convinced to leave his house after the war. It was supposed to be a simple trip with Neville, now he was screaming and there were people surrounding him. Never had he felt more safe, maybe Neville was right and leaving his house wasn't the worst thing in the world, even if they did get hurt because of it.
