    “So I say, before I’m thinking through, I say am getting married,” Geno says and glances up at Sid and then back down again. “They say to American?” Geno seems reluctant to continue. Sid’s stuck on trying to figure out who Geno is marrying and why he didn’t tell Sid about it. “I say, ‘no, to Canadian.'”

    Sid makes a face. Because seriously, Sid feels like he would’ve heard if Geno was dating someone that seriously. But then again, he had no idea Geno had a kid until he was sitting in a hotel room in fucking Finland.

    “Who?” Sid finally asks when Geno seems like he’s not going to continue.

    Geno takes a deep breath and lets it out slowly. “You.”

    “Me what?” Sid asks stupidly.

    "Se io avessi fatto... una scommessa" butta fuori, il più casualmente che può. Il sapore amaro del tabacco e della cartina ormai umida gli riempiono la bocca mentre parla, ma è troppo impegnato a guardare Filippo e a studiare le sue reazioni per farci caso "Mi aiuteresti a vincerla?"
    Lo osserva scrollare le spalle sottili, facendo una smorfia divertita "Dipende da che scommessa è. Però dato che mi stai simpatico… sì, certo. Se posso aiutare, volentieri. Che devi fare?" chiede.
    Elia sospira pesantemente. Guarda il suo viso sottile, le occhiaie violacee che sembrano ancora più accentuate a cause delle ombre scure che sembrano inghiottirlo nella notte, e poi volge gli occhi davanti a sé, al Colosseo, al cielo, dove la luna brilla flebile e fioca. Non si vedono stelle, a Roma. Troppe luci, troppo inquinamento. Alla fine, li abbassa su un ciottolo ai suoi piedi, dove un vermiciattolo strisciato probabilmente fuori dall’erba umidiccia si contorce appena, cercando di tornarvi. Scrolla le spalle a sua volta, come se fosse una cosa di poco conto quella che deve chiedergli

    Un po' di fluff per tutti perché sto sotto duemila treni per gli Elippo.

    “I bet you two couldn’t last a week away from each other,” Stiles challenged, a certain gleam in his eye at the idea of them struggling to be apart but failing.

    “Theo and I can be away from each other for a week easily,” Liam stated. “In fact, I won’t even notice that he’s gone, it would be such a relief to have a couple of days without a pain in the ass.”

    “Likewise. I do have a lot of things to do other than to just hang around with some loser like you,” Theo retorted back, full offense intended, and justifiable after what Liam had said.

     
    Or alternatively, the one where both Theo and Liam are in denial about how much time they spend with each other, and bet that they can succeed in being apart for a week.
