Summary
When I woke up, I was not in the belly of a ship like I expected to be. This place was far darker and more damp than any ship I’ve ever been in. As my eyes adjusted to the lower light level (quite a large contrast to the direct sun of the beach I was previously on), I noticed that I was in some sort of cave. My senses all seemed to kick in one by one and my nose was filled with the overpowering smell of rotting, making me gag. Food or people, I couldn’t tell yet, although I hoped it was the former. It was then that I remembered the sharp, burning pain from the beach. It was like the memory triggered the sensation, only this time it felt ten times worse. Whatever was on the knife that cut me must have spread. I cried out at the newly amplified feeling, the outburst a sign that it was agony.

Summary
Aziraphale had not known that demons could be injured by curses. It seemed somewhat obvious in retrospect, if incredibly unfair. Human curses might draw on the powers of evil, in some respect, but they were still human in nature.
Ordinarily, Crowley would point out that humans were much better at evil than demons were. At the moment, though, he was rather busy screaming and thrashing.
