Summary
Adam rose from his seat after a moment of silence -though it wasn’t quiet. It was the complete opposite; people wailed and sent prayers to the above, begging for help that would never come. Angels screamed through dimensons unable to be heard nor seen by humans, their voices being nothing more than the occasional off-kilter wavelength of sound.
“My friends.” Adam’s voice was no longer as angry or aggressive; instead, it was quiet, considering, and almost kind, which was all the more terrifying. “We stand here to act out our father's will, do we not? We protect this world, and we guide these people to be their better selves, do. We. Not?”
A shared look between Temlakos and Munkar was his only response, then, a voice like overly sugared honey sounded from the doorway, making everyone turn to look.
